MINISTRIES

In 2016, Nehemiah Missionary Baptist Church started a ministry at the Nashville Women’s Rescue Mission which offered career readiness training which help women realize their full potential. This partnership helped discover that some of the women were eager to move out of the mission. However, they were hesitant to leave due to the rising cost of living in Nashville and the fear of what society had to offer. This is where the ideal of Humble Hands was conceptualized and is the start of their re-entry into independent living.

Humble Hands Transitional Home is a faith-based ministry for women who has experience homelessness, broken relationships, and mental health issues. Our home is a semi-independent living home which provides structured living and encourage responsible behavior. Our home allows the opportunity for women of all walks of life to come together to share, grow, and network. All residents are encouraged to attend church to grow spiritually while healing mentally.
